There is a quiet trap in a lot of site tools: the page looks great, but what is stored underneath is a pile of proprietary shortcodes or a frozen HTML blob. The day you stop paying, or the plugin stops being maintained, the page stops being yours to edit.
ArneIron takes the opposite approach. When the agent adds a hero, a set of feature cards or a call to action, it writes native Gutenberg blocks — the same blocks you would get by building the section by hand in the WordPress editor.
What that means for you
- You can open any section the agent made and change the words, links and layout yourself.
- Your theme’s styles, fonts and colours apply automatically — no second design system to fight.
- There is no lock-in. If you never spoke to the agent again, your site would still be an ordinary WordPress site.
Why it is harder — and worth it
Writing real blocks means the agent has to respect the structure WordPress expects: valid block comments, the right attributes, layouts that survive the editor opening them. That is more work than pasting HTML, and it is the reason the result keeps working.
We think the test of an AI website tool is simple: can a person take over from it at any moment? With native blocks, the answer is always yes.
